Since Earth Day...Green Crisis in the Gulf

Call to Action for Geeks

Update since my Earth Day editorial....oil has been erupting into the Gulf for ?? days now (when you read this, who knows).

If a person was looking for silver linings in this very oil-soaked cloud, it might be that it was a HUGE wake-up call to geeks who have been thinking Green and Sustainability was only for the IT pros virtualizing their environments and for the data centers.

Dateline June 27th, 2010, we just had a good SharePoint Saturday Tampa, in which most ot the sponsors were interested in helping GreeNTUG with the collaborative Geeks Building Solutions effort to put technology to work to help make the Gulf Oil Crisis more manageable.   Join us on Tuesday July 5th, 2010 for our next LiveMeeting, the main topic will be discussing what tools we can mobilize among the very smart geeks interested in this topic to build tools and contribute to solutions to help provide tools to the community to help with this crisis.
